Medius has been appointed Super Company by the weekly business newspaper Veckans Affärer. To become a Super Company, the company must perform better than the average of its industry. The award means that Medius grows faster, is more profitable and has a stronger balance sheet than all its competitors.
- I'm extremely grateful and happy that we have been appointed as a Super Company. It shows that we have succeeded in combining rapid growth with financial control and profitability, says CEO Per Nordling
Among 47 000 companies in Sweden with a turnover exceeding SEK 10 million, there are only 353 companies that qualify to become a Super Company. It is a reduction of almost 20 percent from last year, which is an obvious effect of the financial crisis.
- That we, despite the recession, are on the list of Super Companies indicates that we have a strong and attractive offering in both upturns and downturns, says CEO Per Nordling.
Who becomes a Super Company?
Each year, Veckans Affärer appoints Sweden's Super Companies. In order to be awarded, it requires the company to have annual sales exceeding SEK 10 million, and that it meets the criteria for growth, profitability, efficiency, capital structure and financing. A total of about 1 400 companies has been appointed as a Super Company over the last six years, which is approximately 0.5 percent of all Swedish companies.
